The title, ‘Foreman’ is a position we hear often in construction sites, workshops, production floors and similar places and is defined as, ‘a male worker who supervises and directs other workers’, indicating that it is more or less a managerial position in a work place. However, a  foreman’s job differs from other managerial positions in the sense that foremen typically earn their way into their positions through years of on-the-job experience as opposed to education or formal training programs. A foreman is usually the link between the management and workers.

In construction sites, it is the same position as any other industry, where a construction foreman’s basic duty is to direct workers to various tasks and supervise them as directed by a site engineer and be the key point of contact between the engineers and workers.
